එක වචන නාම පද බහු වචන ලෙස වෙනස් කරන ආකාරය විස්තර කරයි. වචන අවසානයේ S, SS, CH, SH, O, X යන අකුරු ඇති විට ES එක් කිරීමේ නීතිය සහ Y අකුරින් අවසන් වන නාම පද IES ලෙස වෙනස් කරන ආකාරය පැහැදිලි කරයි.
